Trump adviser says BRICS cannot survive without US trade

Senior trade adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, Peter Navarro, said the BRICS group of countries could not survive without selling goods to the United States.

“None of these countries will survive if they don’t sell their products to the U.S. When they export to the United States, it is like vampires sucking all the blood out of us with their unfair trade practices,” Navarro told Real America’s Voice in an interview.

He also questioned the bloc’s cohesion: “I don’t understand how BRICS countries can stay together, since historically they have hated and killed each other.”

Trump has repeatedly argued that BRICS was created to harm the United States and undermine the dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency.
