Bahceli questions Turkey’s future in NATO

Devlet Bahceli, leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and a key ally of President Tayyip Erdogan, said Turkey should reconsider its future in the alliance.

He said that if Turkey’s NATO membership is limited to protection against possible threats within the bloc, while some allies ignore Ankara’s key priorities and demands, and public discontent grows, then Turkey should “look both ways” in line with its historic mission.
