Netherlands to deploy Patriot

The Netherlands will deploy Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems as well as counter-drone units in Poland from December 1 to strengthen NATO’s eastern border, the Dutch Defense Ministry said.
From September 1 to December 1, Dutch F-35 fighter jets have been on duty patrolling Polish airspace. Once their mission ends, the Patriot and NASAMS batteries, together with anti-drone systems, will take over to secure a major logistics hub through which Western military aid flows to Ukraine.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the war between Russia and Ukraine directly affects Poland. He added that claims suggesting “this is not our war” are wrong, stressing it is about the security and survival of Western civilization as a whole.
