Lukoil co-owner Alekperov loses $147 mln in 2025, Bloomberg index shows

The combined wealth of 20 Russian billionaires on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index rose by $19.7 billion in 2025 to $305.3 billion.
Not all magnates gained, however. Lukoil co-owner Vagit Alekperov was among those whose fortunes shrank, losing $147 million to stand at $25.2 billion, placing him 94th globally.
Most Russian businessmen showed growth. Telegram founder Pavel Durov increased his fortune by $4.82 billion to $15.8 billion, topping the list of Russian gainers. Among the five wealthiest Russians are Vladimir Potanin ($29.3 billion), Alexey Mordashov ($26.6 billion), Leonid Mikhelson ($24.9 billion) and Vladimir Lisin ($22.7 billion), though Lisin also lost $3.17 billion since the start of the year.
