Iran and Turkey explore new formats of military cooperation

Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh arrived in Ankara on a two-day official visit aimed at expanding defense and military ties between the two countries.
Iran said the move is intended to help strengthen stability and security in the region.
“Turkey and Iran are two Islamic states influencing regional and international issues and the entire Islamic world. Deepening cooperation, especially in defense, will strengthen stability and security at the borders. Decisions will also be made on the crises facing the region,” Nasirzadeh said.
Talks are expected during the visit, with both sides set to discuss military cooperation and current regional security challenges.
