Iran and U.S. would have signed nuclear deal if Israel had not interfered

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran and Washington were close to signing a new nuclear agreement before Israeli interference derailed the process.
“If Israel had not intervened, Tehran and Washington would have signed a nuclear deal,” Araghchi wrote on social media, according to Report.
“Before the fifth round of talks on May 23, I wrote: ‘Zero nuclear weapons = we have a deal. Zero enrichment = no deal.’ If President Trump had reviewed the negotiation protocols, he would have seen how close we were to a new and historic nuclear agreement,” he said.
Araghchi dismissed Israeli intelligence claims that Iran was developing weapons of mass destruction, calling them false. “All that resulted was senseless destruction — thousands of American soldiers were killed, and U.S. taxpayers wasted $7 trillion,” he wrote.
He added that Israel is now trying to portray Iran’s defense capabilities as a fabricated threat. “Americans are tired of taking part in Israel’s endless wars,” Araghchi said, emphasizing that diplomacy remains the only solution.
