France forms new government
Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has unveiled France’s new cabinet. Jean-Noël Barrot remains foreign minister, Roland Lescure stays as economy minister, and Gérald Darmanin retains his post as justice minister.
Former labour and health minister Catherine Vautrin was appointed defence minister. On October 10, President Emmanuel Macron reappointed Lecornu as prime minister.
