U.S. defense company Oshkosh Defense has unveiled a new mobile launcher for long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles. The platform, named X-MAV, can carry up to four missiles and launch them autonomously.

Company representative Pat Williams said the U.S. Army had long identified the need for such a system.

Until now, the only U.S. ground-based launcher for Tomahawks was the Typhon system, developed by Lockheed Martin after Washington’s 2019 withdrawal from the INF Treaty.

The unveiling comes as President Donald Trump threatens to supply Tomahawks to Ukraine if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not halt the war, warning that refusal could have serious consequences.
