Russian attack on Kyiv kills one, sparks fires in residential buildings
Russian forces launched a massive overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region on November 25.
Kyiv’s military administration chief, Timur Tkachenko, said one person was killed and seven civilians were injured, two of whom were hospitalized.
A direct strike in the Dniprovskyi district caused destruction and a fire in a nine-storey apartment building. Residents were evacuated from a 22-storey building in the Pechersk district, where floors 4–7 were damaged and a fire broke out.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said eight people were rescued, while another four sought medical help on their own.
Kyiv regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk confirmed missile and drone strikes on several settlements, calling it a “combined attack.”
Ukraine’s energy ministry reported a massive strike on the country’s energy infrastructure.
