Zelensky: Negotiations have reached a deadlock over territorial issues
Negotiations have reached a deadlock over the territorial issues, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, citing Ukrainian media.
According to him, there are differing views among the United States, Russia, and Ukraine, and there is no unified approach regarding Donbas.
The President of Ukraine said that the participants in the negotiations on the U.S. peace initiative still cannot reach an agreement on territorial matters.
Zelensky noted that certain elements of the U.S. plan require further discussion on several “sensitive issues,” including security guarantees for a country suffering from war and control over the eastern regions.
He added that Kyiv insists on concluding a separate agreement on security guarantees with its Western allies, primarily the United States.
