Claims emerge over alleged Iranian fund transfers to Dubai
Israel’s Channel 14 television reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and members of his inner circle allegedly transferred around $1.5 billion to Dubai over the past two days.
The broadcaster said senior Iranian officials, including Khamenei’s son Mojtaba Khamenei, were involved in moving the funds to so-called escrow accounts in Dubai.
Former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas Macgregor separately claimed that Mojtaba Khamenei was seeking asylum in Dubai.
Iranian authorities have not commented on the reports. Reuters could not independently verify the claims.
