Turkish Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Barcelona after bomb threat
A Turkish Airlines aircraft made an emergency landing at Barcelona airport on Thursday following a bomb threat on board, Spanish news agency EFE reported.
The newspaper El Periodico said the plane was flying from Istanbul to the Catalan capital.
Spain’s airport operator Aena said on the social media platform X that Barcelona airport continues to operate normally. “Security protocols were activated due to a threat on board the aircraft, and security services are assessing the situation,” Aena said.
