Putin speaks to Iran’s Pezeshkian after call with Israel’s Netanyahu
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian shortly after speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Kremlin said on Thursday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin spent the first half of the day focusing on issues related to the situation around Iran, adding that details of the conversation with the Iranian leader would be released later.
During the call with Netanyahu, Putin proposed joint steps to strengthen regional stability and security amid heightened tensions and reiterated Moscow’s readiness to offer mediation efforts and facilitate dialogue involving all interested parties.
