The Russian side expects Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to attend the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the informal meeting of the leaders of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on December 20.

"We proceed from the fact that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will take advantage of the invitation of the Russian president and will arrive in St. Petersburg on December 25-26, where he will take part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the traditional pre-New Year meeting of the heads of state of the CIS member states,” Zakharova noted.

She emphasized that such a visit by the Armenian prime minister would provide an opportunity to "raise all issues of interest.”
