Aliyev allocates new aid to Ukraine

 Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order allocating funds to the Ministry of Energy to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

According to the decree, $2 million in manat equivalent will be allocated from the 2025 presidential reserve fund to purchase and deliver Azerbaijani-made electrical equipment to Ukraine.

The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to ensure financing, and the Cabinet of Ministers will handle all matters arising from the order.

Azerbaijan and Ukraine maintain friendly and partnership-based relations under a series of bilateral documents, including the March 16, 2000 “Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership,” the May 22, 2008 “Declaration on Friendship and Strategic Partnership,” and the January 14, 2022 “Joint Declaration of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine.”
