Power plant explosion leaves parts of Sakhalin without electricity – media

An explosion at a thermal power plant has left parts of Russia’s Sakhalin Island without electricity, Russian Telegram channels reported.

The powerful blast completely halted operations at the plant, leaving tens of thousands of people without power.
