Undersea cable delivered to Baku for Trans-Caspian fiber project
An undersea cable for the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic communication line has been delivered to Baku, AzerTelecom said.
The project envisages laying a fiber-optic cable along the Caspian Sea bed between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as part of a digital corridor linking Europe and Asia.
The company said the delivery marked a key stage in the project, which aims to increase international data transmission capacity and strengthen Azerbaijan’s role as a regional digital hub.
The Trans-Caspian fiber-optic line is expected to provide an alternative route for data traffic between Asia and Europe, improving the reliability and resilience of international telecommunications infrastructure.
