Putin to visit Kazakhstan around EAEU summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in connection with a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council scheduled for late May in Astana.

The arrangement was reached during a phone call between Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kremlin said.

The two leaders discussed the implementation of agreements on developing Russian-Kazakh relations and joint trade and economic projects.

Tokayev invited Putin to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in conjunction with the summit, and the Russian leader accepted.
