President Ilham Aliyev has been invited to the Kazakh capital Astana to participate in a summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, the Kazakh Embassy in Baku told Interfax.
The embassy said no official confirmation from the Azerbaijani side over Aliyev's participation in the September summit had been received.
It said Azerbaijani Milli Meclis (parliament) Speaker Oqtay Asadov was also expected to visit Astana in November. The goal of the visit is to participate in a regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states.
