Aram Manukyan: Armenia dies

Up to 25 thousand people gathered in Yerevan on an anti-government rally to demand the resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan. The rally was organized by four opposition parties.

ANC representative Aram Manukyan presented data which indicate that "the authorities have to go away."

According to the International Organization for Migration, the number of migrants from Armenia in 2014 amounted to 770 thousand in 45 countries. "This does not include illegal immigrants. Moreover, 400 thousand people this year have acquired the citizenship of other countries. Marriages declined sharply while divorces increased.

For 24 years the natural increase was only 1.1 million people. Meanwhile, in neighboring Turkey and Iran only last year, more than a million people were born. Armenia is aging and dying because of stupid, idiotic policy of the authorities," said Manukyan.

There is a sharp decline in investment, in one year it was 62%. "Nobody wants to feed Sashik Sargsyan (the president's brother). Just think of it - 83% of the population says that they have relatives abroad. This is a disaster and death. It is wrong to continue. We need immediate change of government. We need Armenia without Serzh Sargsyan," said Manukyan. Then the people assembled began to chant: "Serjik, go away!".

The organizers of the rally said that the protests will continue in the near future. The requirement of the protesters remains the same - the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan.
