"Azerbaijani Railways” (ADY) CJSC has started to benefit from the provision of its own cars for transit of cargo.

Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of CJSC, stated that currently the ADY has 6,000-7,000 cars able to transfer 25 million of cargo a year, Fineko/abc.az reports.

"Previously, we paid $7 million a year to other countries because of lack of cars, but now we receive $1 million a year on these operations,” Gurbanov said.

It should be noted that the calculations for cars exchange are held in Swiss franks, and the benefits of the ADY may be even higher.
