At least 10 Russian missiles were launched at Kyiv and surrounding areas early on July 4, Ukrainian officials said. Explosions were reported near the Zhuliany airport, and air raid sirens sounded across the capital.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia also deployed dozens of combat drones over multiple regions, including Kyiv, Sumy, and Dnipro. Several drones were shot down, and civilian casualties have been reported.

In the Poltava region, a car was damaged and one person injured when debris from a drone fell on private property, regional authorities said.

The attack came shortly after a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin said Putin reaffirmed Russia’s intention to "eliminate the root causes" of the war, while Trump urged an immediate ceasefire.
