Several Armenian news websites had earlier said Armenians killed three Azerbaijani soldiers, identifying one of them as "unter officer Eldar Mammadov”.

The Defense Ministry in Baku said on its website there is no such military rank in the Azerbaijani army as "unter officer”.

Two Armenian troops were confirmed killed and another injured in clashes with Azerbaijani forces south and east of Nagorno-Karabakh on Jan. 3.
