Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov has met Kazakhstan's First Deputy Defense Minister Saken Zhasuzakov to discuss prospects for military cooperation between the two countries.
They hailed relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as friendly and brotherly.
The two men particularly explored ways of boosting cooperation in military-technical and military education fields, and exchanged views over regional security affairs.
Highlighting the military-political situation in the region, Minister Hasanov said that Azerbaijan`s lands are still under Armenian occupation. He stressed the importance of solving the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in compliance with international legal norms.
Mr Zhasuzakov praised the development of the Azerbaijani armed forces, defense infrastructure and industry, expressing his country`s interest in using Azerbaijan`s experience.
