Azerbaijan limits FX sale without passports to $500

Azerbaijan’s Central Bank has changed regulations for those dealing with foreign currency exchange.
According to the change, the sale of foreign currencies equivalent to over $500 will be possible only through passports.
People who would like to exchange an equivalent of over $500 will have to show their passports.
The measure comes as the demand for foreign currencies grew following a second devaluation of manat last month.
