Azerbaijani Haji Aliyev has picked up the gold medal in the men's 61kg freestyle wrestling at the World Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as he beat Iranian Masoud Esmailpour 12-7 in the final, News.az reports. On the way to the final, Aliyev defeated Ukrainian Vasily Shuptar, Polish Krzysztof Bienkowski, Moldovan Andrei Perpelita and Cuban Yowlys Bonne.Another Azerbaijani wrestler Khetag Gazyumov won world silver in the 97kg class after losing to Russian Abdusalam Gadisov 2-1.Bakudaily.Az
