Azerbaijan’s income from the BP-led Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields in the Caspian Sea amounted to $97.3 billion as of February 20, according to the State Oil Fund (Sofaz).

Sofaz was established in 1999 to manage income from the country’s oil and gas incomes. Its assets grew to $35.9 billion as of January 2014.

ACG partners include Azerbaijan’s state oil company Socar, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Statoil, TPAO, Itochu and ONGC Videsh. 

The deposit produced 32.2 million tons of oil, or about 75 percent of total output, last year.
