Azeri, Armenian leaders to meet in Vienna tomorrow

The presidents ofAzerbaijan and Armenia will meet in the Austrian capital, Vienna, tomorrow tonegotiate a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between the twoformer Soviet countries.

Serzh Sargsyan of Armeniawill leave for Vienna today, according to his website.

Armenia sized nearly 20percent of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territory, includingNagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding district, in a war after the Sovietbreakup that killed 20,000 Azeris and displaced nearly a million.

President Ilham Aliyev hasrepeatedly said Azerbaijan reserves the right to use military force to regaincontrol of the territory should peace talked mediated by the US, Russia andFrance fail.

Aliyev and Sargsyan lastmet in the Russian city of Kazan three years ago.
