Several dozen members of pro-government youth organizations on Thursday staged protests outside the EU office and UK embassy in Baku.
They expressed protest against EU and UK policies on Azerbaijan ahead of the European Games that will begin in Baku on June 12.
Protesters gathering outside the EU office held banners reading "Hands off Azerbaijan,” "Shame on the European Union”, "Civil society says no to double standards” and "Do not politicize sports”.
Those picketing the UK embassy chanted "Britain, give up your double standards”, "Britain, congratulations on your cooperation with Armenians”, "Azerbaijan wants to see law and not force”, among others.
Police intervened to end the unsanctioned protests.
