Belgian trio Julie van Gelder, Ineke van Schoor and Kaat Dumarey dominated the Acrobatic Gymnastics competition at the Baku 2015 European Games, winning all three gold medals.
They started their clean sweep with gold in the all-around final on Friday. On Sunday they added gold in the balance and dynamic finals to the list.
"It's been a tough journey with its ups and downs. A lot of people told us, 'Your time will come', and finally it's our time now," said Van Gelder.
She admitted that the strength of her team had everything to do with the well-choreographed exercises they performed.
"A lot of teams are jealous because we work with one of the best choreographers in the world, Irina Shadrina," added Van Gelder.
The Belgian girls found their all-around gold medal on Friday the most important one. "But these two golds are nice extras," Van Schoor said.
