Baku will host the inaugural European Olympic Games next year. Preparations for this important sporting event are in full swing. 

President Ilham Aliyev decreed to establish an organizing committee shortly after the Azerbaijani capital was named the host city. The committee led by Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva has done a great job so far. 

The committee has launched a bilingual website, which is updated on a daily basis with news and information about preparations for the games.

The website has sections providing detailed information about venues of Baku 2015, participants, sports, as well as on Baku and Azerbaijan as a whole.
