Because the California cage fighter will get a rematch against Holly Holm, UFC bosses have now confirmed.
The MMA legend has kept a low profile since losing the bantamweight title to Holly Holm in a shock loss last month.
And with the new champ widely acclaimed as the best female fighter in the world, a rematch has the potential to be explosive.
Now UFC boss Dana White has pledged "that fight's going to happen" – saying he and chairman Lorenzo Fertitta have their jobs riding on it.
White said: "I think that if we didn't make the rematch, me and Lorenzo should probably lose our promoter's licence."
He also paid tribute to Rousey, telling ESPN: "[She] has gone undefeated and taken the sport to another level.
"[She] was beating the best women in the world in 14 seconds or 30 seconds so she deserves a rematch.
"Holly agrees she deserves a rematch and we'll figure it out."
In the wake of her defeat, Rousey said she would "take a little bit of time" out but warned "I'll be back".
The 28-year-old had bristled with confidence before the bout, branding her opponent a "fake cheap-shotting b****".
But the brawler babe lost via knockout early in the second round at the UFC 193 event.
