Amazon shoppers can now add items to their online shopping basket by tweeting a special hashtag, as the web retailer continues to explore technology that increases convenience for customers.Once a user has connected their Twitter and Amazon accounts, if a link to a product page appears on their timeline, a reply using the hashtag '#AmazonBasket’ – or '#AmazonCart’ in the US – will add the item to their basket.Customers will then have to visit the Amazon website to check out and pay for their items. The feature – which uses the slogan “add it now, buy it later” – could prove useful to marketers, as by tweeting in response to product links, users are publicly revealing what they plan to purchase.Last month, the web giant started trialling Dash, a small handheld gadget which houses a barcode scanner and microphone, for its US grocery customers. The six-inch device directly adds scanned or dictated groceries to the customer’s Amazon basket, speeding up the order process. The company already offers '1-Click Ordering’, which lets shoppers buy and checkout by clicking one button, and the subscription-based Prime delivery service.(telegraph.co.uk)Bakudaily.az
