Socar produces more oil, gas in first nine months

Azerbaijan’s state oilcompany (Socar) pumped 6.2 million tons of oil in the first nine months of2013, up from 6.1 million tons a year earlier, the company said on its website.

Production of natural gasgrew to nearly 5.15 billion cubic meters during the period from 5.12 billioncubic meters, it said.

Azerbaijan’s total oilproduction in January-October rose 0.2 percent year-on-year to 36.1 milliontons. Gas production expanded to 14.6 billion cubic meters from 14.35 billioncubic meters.
