The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline carried 2.39 million tons of Azerbaijani oil in March, down from 2.44 million tons a year earlier, state oil company Socar said on its website.  

BTC also shipped 282,370 tons of Turkmen oil during the period, up from 276,523 tons, and 382,540 tons of Kazakh oil, Socar said.

Partners in the pipeline project include BP, Statoil, Chevron, Turkiye Petrolleri AO, Eni, Inpex, ONGC Vidhesh and Itochu.

Azerbaijan also uses the Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk pipelines to export oil.
