Issues concerning the development of the non-oil sector have been discussed in Baku today (January 27) at the business forum of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) held with participation of the General Director of Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC Goksel Aybek.
Addressing the business-forum, G.Aybek spoke about the activity of the Corporation headed by him in Azerbaijan and beyond it, implementation of infrastructure and industrial projects. According to him, the Corporation is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Within a short period of time the Corporation managed to implement big infrastructure projects in tens of countries. The turnover of the company has exceeded $3.5 bln.
Presentation of current and new projects of Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC was carried out at the business forum. G.Aybek thanked companies for a constructive dialogue and noted that he is also a President of the Caspian European Construction Club.
Proposals of participants on this topic as well as issues that were of interest to the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) were discussed at the business-forum.
Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) and Oil and Industry University of the Republic of Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum about cooperation during the business forum. The university has also conducted a presentation. The memorandum was signed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) Telman Aliyev and rector of the University of Oil and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mustafa Bahanli.
Addressing the business forum, First Deputy Chairman of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) Telman Aliyev thanked G.Aybek for a constructive dialogue as well as for an attention to proposals and requests made by the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) during the event. According to him, the companies, which took part in the business forum, received answers for questions that were of interest to them, and discussed ways of cooperation in this sphere.
He noted that the process of online voting for the "Caspian Brand Award – 2016” international prize started at www.BrandAward.org on January 25, 2016. According to him, all member companies of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) will get an opportunity to participate in "Caspian Brand Award – 2016” international prize. The results of the voting will be summed up on May 25, 2016.
According to him, voting over Caspian Energy Award - 2016 (www.CaspianEnergyAward.com) и Caspian Business Award - 2016 (www.Award.CEO) international prizes is ongoing actively. The ceremony of awarding of these prizes will take place in Baku on April 20, 2016.
T.Aliyev noted that nominees on prizes are determined on basis of the results of the internet poll held among top and medium managers of companies from over 50 countries around of the world.
Caspian Brand Award – 2016, Caspian Energy Award and Caspian Business Award international prizes are held under support of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) and Caspian Energy International Media Group.
Telman Aliyev noted that Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) was established in June 2002 under support of large oil-gas companies companies operating in the Caspian and Black Sea region. His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is the Chairman of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club). According to Telman Aliyev, the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) has promoted attraction of oil sector revenues into development of the non-oil sector since its establishment. Caspian European Club, which brings together over 5,000 member companies and organisations, is operating in 50 countries around the world, carrying out an active work to maintain the dialogue between government agencies and the private sector.
G.Aybek was presented a platinum membership certificate of the Caspian European Club (Caspian Business Club) at the business forum which was attended by heads of companies, ambassadors and representatives of a number of diplomatic agencies.
