Cavusoglu: Number of tourists traveling from Russia to Türkiye declined

The number of tourists traveling from Russia to Türkiye has decreased, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said. 

According to him, 5.2 million tourists traveled from Russia to Türkiye in 2022. However, as of May 1, 2023, there was a decline in the number of tourists expected from Russia: "After the war, the European airspace was immediately closed, etc. Had it not been for "Turkish Airlines" (THY) at that time, the Russians in Europe would not have been able to return to the country.”
