A technical malfunction in Baku's public transport payment system "BakıKart" on Thursday disrupted online payments, causing delays and queues on buses and metro lines, local media reported.

According to Qafqazinfo, payments made via the "M10" and "Birbank" mobile apps failed to process due to an issue with the BakıKart terminal devices. As a result, passengers faced difficulties accessing transport services during morning hours.

The incident marks a recurrence of similar issues reported in previous months.
