Seven detained, two arrested in Sputnik Azerbaijan office raid – source

Seven people have been detained and two placed under arrest following a law enforcement operation at the Baku office of “Sputnik Azerbaijan,” the local branch of Russia’s Rossiya Segodnya news agency, a source familiar with the matter told local media.

The individuals are being investigated under articles related to fraud, illegal business activity, and money laundering. Five others have been charged and remain under criminal investigation. The probe is ongoing.
