SOCAR Turkey invests in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity — CEO

SOCAR Turkey is accelerating its digital transformation efforts by focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. This was announced by the company’s CEO Elçin Ibadov during his speech at the energy forum in Baku.
According to him, the diesel fuel optimization initiative has improved product quality and production efficiency, resulting in millions of dollars in savings.
“The refinery now makes decisions faster than people choosing a film on Netflix,” he emphasized.
SOCAR Turkey has also developed an AI-powered anomaly detection system, dubbed a “watchdog,” which identifies data leaks and cybersecurity risks.
Ibadov noted that every AI project requires serious cybersecurity measures.
“If no investment is made in cybersecurity, predictive algorithms can easily be hacked,” he warned.
In talent management, SOCAR Turkey applies the “ambidextrality” methodology — balancing innovation and stability to ensure the company’s successful transition into the era of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
