Azerbaijani student found dead in Munich, German police launch investigation

An Azerbaijani student, Kenan Safarov, was found dead in his apartment in Munich on July 5.
Safarov, a first-year student who arrived in Germany six months ago for studies, was also working as a dental assistant. When he failed to show up for work, colleagues sent people to his home. Unable to enter through the door, they accessed the apartment through a window and discovered his body.
No signs of violence were found. Authorities are considering food poisoning as one of the possible causes.
German law enforcement has launched an investigation and is coordinating the repatriation of the body to Azerbaijan.
