Aghdam fire spreads to the Khojavend district

A fire that broke out in an open area near the village of Gulably in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district has spread to the village of Mirikend in the Khojavend district.

The blaze has engulfed a large area.

Eighty personnel and seven firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, dispatched from Aghdam, Aghjabadi, Yevlakh and Khankendi districts, have been deployed.

Two helicopters are also involved in the operation.
