Azerbaijan is expanding its compulsory health insurance (CHI) package, the head of the State Agency for CHI, Zaur Aliyev, said.
The 2026 program will include modern services in traumatology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and cardiology. For the first time, outpatient prescription drugs for cardiovascular diseases, including 76 antihypertensive medicines, will be covered by CHI.
