Mass poisoning reported at school in Goygol district

A case of mass poisoning has been reported at J. Verdiyev Secondary School in the village of Ashygly in Azerbaijan’s Goygol district.

According to available information, students felt unwell during a lesson. They were taken to hospital and provided with medical assistance.

The Goygol District Central Hospital said that on Feb. 16 at around 1:00 p.m., 10 teenagers were admitted to the emergency department with suspected poisoning. They were diagnosed with unspecified non-infectious gastroenteritis and colitis and received the necessary treatment.

All of the students, whose condition was assessed as satisfactory, were discharged for outpatient treatment.
