Crimes against women decline in Azerbaijan in 2025 while offenses against minors rise

The number of crimes committed against women in Azerbaijan fell by 3.5% in 2025, while offenses targeting minors increased by 21.6%, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Last year, 21,195 victims were recorded, with 1,413 cases (6.7%) related to domestic violence. Among domestic violence victims, 83.2% were women and 1.1% were minors.

The death toll from these crimes rose by 22.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 60 people, including 40 women.
