Azerbaijani lawmaker criticises lack of official information on drone sighting in Baku
Azerbaijani lawmaker Gudrat Hasanquliyev criticised authorities for failing to provide timely information about a drone spotted over Baku on March 16.
Hasanquliyev said a drone flight was observed in the capital’s airspace, but relevant state bodies did not issue a prompt public statement.
He stressed that one of the key responsibilities of government institutions is to provide citizens with timely and accurate information.
“Failure to inform the public in such cases leads to the spread of rumours and negatively affects trust in state institutions,” he said.
Hasanquliyev added that authorities should clarify the situation and ensure transparency, noting that his remarks should be conveyed to the Defence Ministry.
