Azerbaijan starts repairs on Bibi-Heybat road after heavy rains

The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads has begun repair works on the Bibi-Heybat road in Baku after heavy rainfall caused damage, the agency said.

Preventive measures are being carried out to reduce further risks, while works focus on restoring road stability and ensuring traffic safety.

The project includes construction of a new roadbed and base, followed by asphalt paving. Drainage systems are also being installed to manage surface water.

Authorities said the repair works are expected to be completed as soon as possible.
