Over 5,000 people assigned disability status in the first quarter of this year

A total of 11,500 people were assigned disability status in Azerbaijan in January–March 2026, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population said.

Of these, 5,300 individuals were granted disability status for the first time, while 6,200 received it on a repeated basis.

In 2025, the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation assigned disability status to 54,500 people, including 25,300 first-time cases and 29,200 repeat assessments.
