Azerbaijan to hold immunisation week in April
BAKU, April 16 – Azerbaijan will hold an Immunisation Week from April 19 to 25 across the country on the recommendation of the World Health Organization, the Health Ministry said.
Health Minister Teymur Musayev has signed a relevant order.
The campaign will focus on vaccinating children who have missed routine immunisation, conducting monitoring in areas with low vaccination coverage, providing methodological support to medical institutions, and raising public awareness.
A series of events is planned in several regions, while medical institutions have prepared informational materials for distribution among the population.
The Health Ministry noted that Immunisation Week has been held annually in the WHO European region since 2006, with Azerbaijan participating each year.
