Gold prices fell by 0.71% to $4,690.40, according to exchange data.

Silver declined by $0.55 to $75.51. Copper saw a sharper drop, falling 1.38%, or $8.50, to $605.75.

Platinum also decreased by 0.82%, or $16.56, to $1,994.72.
